Yoga Journal App Reviews

Excellent app for home use & teaching

I had the print subscription already but have found this app really useful & full of extra content through links etc. One little complaint is that you cant copy & paste or print from it. I like to use things for teaching & sometimes prefer not to have electronic devices running during class. Also for sequence features there is no overview page of the whole pattern to compliment the posture by posture swipe pages. Still a really good resource though.

Doesnt work withoutnwireless!?

Thought Id try reading my favourite yoga mag on my ipad instead of renewing my printed subscription - thought I was onto something: the user interface seemed pretty logical and easy to navigate back and for from the table of contents to different articles. But, unlike another magazine I downloaded to my "newsstand" I cant seem to open the magazine unless Im connected to the Internet!! so if I cant read this on the train to work, or while on a plane, etc, whats the point of paying money to supposedly download the magazine?

Too much advertising

Wonderful descriptions of poses etc, but WAY too much advertising. Disappointing.

Customer service

I was having trouble getting my issues and the customer service was very helpful in resolving the issue for me. They were quick to respond and answered all my questions.

No more access

My subscription was renewed and my iPad upgraded to the latest IOS. Since then, I cannot access any of the issues. I sent a message to customer support over a week ago and am still waiting for a reply. Guess Ill try to get my money back and probably wont go for the print edition. Apparently, they dont for their subscribers either digital or print.

Terrible

Ad after ad after ad........after ad after ad.....so many ads and so little content, very disappointing

Great!

Im so glad I can get this in the app store and Japan. Its got great free premiums and its very interactive and easy to use.

Downloaded issues are gone after the update

After the IOS update i cannot access previously downloaded issues. All issues which i already paid for are gone now and restoring doesnt help. I am really frustrated!

Yoga journal

Difficult to use, confusing, not helpful.

LOVE IT!!

Love! It has everything and more about yoga.

App should be free

I was excited about the iPad app but quickly lost interest when i learned I had to pay for it being a current YJ subscriber. Not very CS friendly. Thanks but no thanks.

No digital subscription for print subscribers?

To further echo sentiment of no free digital access for print subscribers, Yoga Journal, please reconsider. Your advertisers will appreciate it and so will your faithful subscribers.

Nothing there!

Except opportunities to buy issues, which I already own! Lame pitch, IMHO.

Baffled

I agree with other reviewers. I was completely baffled that I couldnt login anywhere on the app to access the content Ive already paid for especially since all the other magazines I subscribe to provide this service to their customers. YJ I really hope you reconsider and change this to reflect how you value your loyal customers.

Get with the times YJ

Disappointed I cannot access issues I have paid for on my iPad. All my other magazine subscriptions offer free online access. This confirms my decision to cancel my yoga journal subscription.

Kidding?

You must be kidding. I am a long time subscriber to YJ and you dont give access to your online version? Bad Karma I say.

+Content/-Accessibility

I enjoy the content. However, I cant view it without an internet connection.

Cannot view without wifi

Purchased this so that I could download and then read on my commute - turns out I need wireless access to download AND read. Not worth the money!!!

really!!

I agree.....this makes no sense. Why would I pay twice for the same thing. Just the magazine and they will not switch you over to the iPad version. Silly

Yoga Journal App

Could not agree more. Should be able to get to the online version with our establiished paper subscription. Disappointed.
